If You Texted Kirk Cousins, He’s Sorry

Kirk Cousins is a really nice guy and tries to respond to every text message he receives.

But when 140 people flood his inbox immediately after a game, only close family members make the cut to get immediate responses.

Cousins today was asked how many people reached out to him after he helped lead the Redskins to their 31-28 overtime victory over the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday at FedExField, and said 140 people — ironically the same number of characters allowed per tweet in Twitter — texted him by Monday morning.

“And I think I responded to two,” Cousins said. “I called my dad, talked to my parents, talked to my siblings, my brother and sister, talked to my grandparents and that was about it.”

Cousins also had a special message for the 137 people he ignored.
