Posted by Ross Hollebon on April 22, 2014 – 8:28 am

A variety of colored Easter eggs kept popping up yesterday at the White House for the annual Easter Egg Roll, and so has the content surrounding the event.

Tarik El-Bashir caught up with quarterback Robert Griffin III in this video:

Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan helps introduce this video for Redskins Facebook and Google+.

And, of course, HERE is Andrew Walker’s Redskins.com recap story from the special event.

RGIII Meets Sandwich, Skateboard And TV Icons At The White House

Posted by Gabe Hiatt on April 21, 2014 – 6:23 pm

Robert Griffin III, Pierre Garçon, Ryan Kerrigan and Stephen Bowen all attended an annual Easter Egg Roll at the White House on Monday.

The players did not get to spend time with Barack Obama, but they did meet the First Lady and a smattering of random celebrities such as Jared the Subway guy, who probably gave RGIII the secret Subway Illuminati handshake before challenging the quarterback to a push-up contest.

Ryan Kerrigan Swats An Imposing Foul Ball

Posted by Gabe Hiatt on April 11, 2014 – 10:29 am

Chick Hernandez never should have opened his mouth.

I mean, he’s a sports anchor, so that’s his job and he should do that every day, but in the context of talking trash to a Redskins outside linebacker about an upcoming media vs. athlete celebrity softball game, Hernandez should have reconsidered. Read more »

Wednesday marks one week since DeSean Jackson officially signed with the Redskins. From that time on,  the deep threat’s recruitment, character and potential have all been hot topics in Washington. Redskins Players, Coaches Enjoy ‘Draft Day’ Screening

Posted by Andrew Walker on April 3, 2014 – 10:50 am

Kerrigan Draft Day

They laughed. They cried.

OK, they didn’t really cry, but several Redskins players and team personnel Wednesday evening enjoyed a special screening of the movie “Draft Day,” which is due to be released in theaters nationwide April 11.

I won’t be like that guy on Facebook that spoiled the “How I Met Your Mother” finale, so if you’re looking for a full recap of the flick, you’re in the wrong place.

But here’s the gist of the movie — which stars Kevin Costner, Jennifer Garner, Denis Leary (and even former Redskins player Terry Crews) — according to IMDb.com:

GIF: Swaggy’s New Sack Dance

Posted by Gabe Hiatt on March 26, 2014 – 4:40 pm

Chris Baker got the first sack of his career last season against the Bears. After he took down Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, he pointed and high-stepped away.

As we found out in a Google+ Hangout with big “Swaggy,” Baker has new plans for a sack celebration inspired by Jason Hatcher.

It all began with a surprise visit from Ryan Kerrigan at Andrew Walker’s office.

Reliving Ryan Kerrigan’s Rim Rattler And A Refresher For Jason Hatcher

Posted by Gabe Hiatt on March 26, 2014 – 10:30 am

On Wednesday the NFL created another rule to limit the players from enjoying themselves in the end zone.

Alas, there will be no more dunking over the crossbar, and Ryan Kerrigan can never do this again.

Who Wore It Better: Kerrigan Or LeBron?

Posted by Gabe Hiatt on March 2, 2014 – 2:27 pm

Although I’m not one to clap and shriek at watch red carpet coverage in the hours leading up to the Oscars, I do enjoy one aspect of the fashionista Super Bowl.

While many women compete for best-dressed with a bottomless armoire of taped, sequined and beaded dress combinations, there are only so many ways to rock a tuxedo. So you’ll see some individuals lauded for lovely lapels while others are lampooned for their neck wear. (The smaller the better when it comes to bowties, Chris. AND YOU KNOW THIS, MAN).

Ryan Kerrigan added an accessory on Saturday you’re unlikely to see Sunday night. Attending a charitable masquerade ball in Richmond, Va., Kerrigan donned a black mask with his classic tux and notched lapels.

Was Kerrigan following ball protocol or was he riding the coattails of an NBA trend? Who wore it better, Kerrigan or LeBron James? Read more »

Ryan Kerrigan Lists His Starting Five

Posted by Gabe Hiatt on February 28, 2014 – 3:27 pm

He’s got the biceps and the skill set, but the rest is up for debate.

Ryan Kerrigan once likened himself to Ben Wallace as an intimidator and a shot blocker on the basketball court, but he admitted his game has regressed.

battleKerrigan appeared on “Redskins Nation” with Larry Michael Wednesday to talk about his time at the 2011 NFL Scouting Combine and promote a “Battle of the Beltway” charity basketball game  pitting Kerrigan’s squad against a team captained by Baltimore Ravens receiver Torrey Smith.

“I was pretty subpar to start with,” said Kerrigan, who was a big man for Muncie Central High School. “Now I have a knee – a bad knee – so it’s probably even worse, but it’ll be a good time.  I’m on the recruiting trail right now trying to round up some Redskins to play.”
