Catch ‘Redskins Late Night’ At New Home

Your favorite offbeat, comedic look at the Redskins on and off the field is back this season — and at a new location.

“Redskins Late Night,” hosted by comedian Chris Paul, will be filmed at 7 p.m. every Tuesday beginning on Aug. 14 from its new home at The Greene Turtle Sports Bar and Grille in the Dulles Town Center.

This show takes on a reality TV show feel, and breaks down the upcoming opponent by taking a look at the X’s and O’s of game film. The show includes a feature that takes you behind the scenes of a Redskins player preparing for a game, and Wired Up, a segment devoted to microphoning a player at practice.

Chris Paul Needs Your Help In This Public Service Video

Tuesday nights during the season, I’ll occasionally mention (or retweet @RedskinsTV about) the tapings of Redskins Late Night. (At the Greene Turtle in Leesburg this year, starting at 6:00 p.m. and featuring a different Redskins player each week! Come on by!)

But somehow I very rarely mention the actual show, which airs at 1:30 a.m. Saturday night (or Sunday morning, if you’re needlessly pedantic) and offers up a more offbeat look at the Redskins.

Inside Redskins Broadcast Network: Redskins Late Night Explained

If it’s Tuesday, it means that I’m heading out to the taping of Redskins Late Night at the Gordon Biersch restaurant in Tysons Corner. Tonight’s guest is Rocky McIntosh, and anyone in the area should feel free to drop on by.

I’ve been mentioning this just about every week, but I’m beginning to gather that not everyone automatically knows exactly what I’m talking about. So I went to Megan Imbert, who’s producing the show for the Redskins Broadcast Network, and she gave me lots more specifics.

True to its name, Redskins Late Night airs late at night, specifcally on Saturdays — or, more accurately, early on Sunday mornings. Basically it’s at 1:30 a.m. on NBC-4, shortly after Saturday Night Live. And it’s a little different from most of the other RBN programming. Read more »
