Griffin III Gives Update On Knee
Posted by on March 26, 2013 – 8:58 pmText message from Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, via Trey Wingo at ESPN, providing an update on his knee.
“My knee is getting better every day. The doctors say I’m ahead of schedule. My goal is to return healthy in week one but if I’m not ready then I will wait until I am, however long that is. My first NFL season and my injury that ended it showed me a lot about the league, my team and myself. I know where my responsibility is within the dilemma that led to me having surgery to repair my knee and all parties involved know their responsibilities as well. I’m looking forward to playing the game we all love so much again and not behind at the negative. Thanks for the overwhelming level of support that I’ve received, sic ‘em bears and hail to the redskins!!”

Redskins Social Media Weekly Spotlight
Posted by on March 4, 2013 – 5:56 pmWelcome to your weekly Redskins Social Media Spotlight, where we highlight the trendy topics and social media campaigns going on this week in Redskins Nation. Check it out and make suggestions below.
Last week’s Social Media Weekly Spotlight dived into the Combine, including some of the responses that Redskins players had in regards to the results, as well as WR Pierre Garçon’s plea to LB London Fletcher to play one more year. We still do not know the answer to the latter (hopefully, we’ll have more information by the end of this week).
In fact, at this point in the decision process, all we have to fall back on is the interview with Redskins.com that the saavy vet had following the season. While some may be inclined to sit back and wonder what if, trying to envision the future with or without the middle linebacker, we will not. You may ask, why? Well, because life must go on for the time being.
So without further ado, we bring you another installment of your weekly Redskins Social Media Spotlight, consisting of Niles Paul’s Harlem Shake, Joshua Morgan’s inspiring picture, Chris Baker’s plea for 10k Twitter followers, and more!

Words Of Encouragement For Griffin III
Posted by on February 28, 2013 – 8:49 pmAfter a seven game win streak propelled the team to a division title and a home playoff game, Redskins fans jumped on board for the ride realizing that this year’s team was clicking on all cylinders and prepared for greatness.
However, following the team’s playoff loss against Seattle, and then after hearing the news of Robert Griffin III’s injury, there were many broken hearts throughout the DMV. It’s safe to say that despite a phenomenal season which witnessed a worst to first turnaround and number four playoff seed, Redskins fans alike were inconsolable after the aforementioned series of events.
But then, a miracle in the making happened last week. The statement heard around the world from Dr. James Andrews saying that Griffin III’s recovery is ‘way ahead of schedule’. Just hearing that statement from Dr. Andrews last week seemed to calm a few of those nerves. Yet, even with that statement, the full recovery of number ten looms in the distance and with that comes an aspect of uncertainty that makes every Redskins fan a little bit anxious.
That, however, did not stop one of the more optimistic young Redskins fans from sending the quarterback her well-wishes last month.

QBs Embracing Healthy Competition
Posted by on June 1, 2012 – 11:07 am“Healthy competition” is a phrase often thrown around in sports, but it’s definitely something being embraced by the Redskins’ four quarterbacks through organized team activities this season.
Quarterback Jonathan Crompton — in his second season with the Redskins and third overall in the NFL — said all four Redskins quarterbacks have the same goal of competing for a starting job this season, but aren’t letting that get in the way of improving as a unit.
