AccuScore Projects ‘Skins-Eagles Game
Posted by on December 23, 2012 – 8:00 amAccuScore is back this week with some wacky statistical projections and predictions for today’s game between the Washington Redskins and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Last Sunday, AccuScore had the Redskins winning in 51 percent of its 10,000 computer simulations against the Cleveland Browns. This time around, the Redskins are favored considerably more.
This week’s AccuScore projections have much to do with the play of Eagles rookie quarterback Nick Foles. Foles had his struggles the first time he played the Redskins, but if he can cut out many of the same mistakes, his team’s chances of winning drastically improve.
Here’s the highlights of today’s AccuScore predictions for Redskins-Browns, according to ESPN:

VIDEO: Play-Action Pass Burns Defenses
Posted by on December 22, 2012 – 9:30 amOne of the key reasons why the Washington Redskins’ offense seemingly didn’t miss a beat last Sunday vs. the Cleveland Browns with rookie quarterback Kirk Cousins making his first-career start was its use of the play-action pass.
The Redskins feature the No. 1 rushing offense in the league, so Cousins and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan were able to use that to their advantage several times to get huge chunks of yards on various drives.
The NFL Network’s “Playbook” crew of Brian Baldinger, Sterling Sharpe and former Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb broke this down in the above video.

The Redskins have played the Eagles on 155 occasions in the regular season and postseason combined, beginning in 1934. The two teams have played each other twice every year since 1936. Washington has swept the season series 23 times, while Philadelphia has swept it 17 times.
The Redskins, originating from the Boston Braves, won both games in Boston before locating to Washington, D.C., in 1937. The Eagles, originating in Philadelphia in 1933, have always played in the City of Brotherly Love.
Both the Eagles’ Lincoln Financial Field and NocaCare Training Complex are located in Philadelphia.

Redskins Players React To Win On Twitter
Posted by on November 18, 2012 – 6:47 pmThe Washington Redskins defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 31-6 today in front of an energetic FedExField crowd.
It was perhaps the first time all season the Redskins (4-6) have put together a solid all-around game for four quarters from its offense, defense and special teams.
The satisfying feeling carried over after the game on Twitter, where the Redskins players were tweeting away. Players like quarterback Robert Griffin III, who answered ESPN anchor Trey Wingo’s sarcastic tweet about his one incomplete pass on the day:
“@wingoz: so @RGIII goes 14/15 for 200 yds and 4 TDs. What the hell happened on that one incompletion? unacceptable” Looking at film now—

Posted by on November 18, 2012 – 4:11 pmA complete football game.
That’s what the Washington Redskins gave today, as they pummeled the visiting Philadelphia Eagles, 31-6, at FedExField.
The Redskins (4-6) set the tone with strong, play-making defense, took advantage with a big-play offense and had steady special teams to take care of the Eagles (3-7), who continue their downhill slide.
