The New York Giants began the second quarter of tonight’s Monday Night Football matchup against the Washington Redskins with the ball on the Washington 20-yard line.
But three plays later, after an intentional grounding call on quarterback Eli Manning and three solid plays by the Redskins’ defense, the Giants had to send out Lawrence Tynes to attempt a 43-yard field goal. Tynes — who is usually money against the Redskins — missed the kick, however, sending the packed FedExField crowd into a craze.
But Tynes got the last laugh, converting a 40-yard field goal at the end of the half. After another hard-fought quarter, the Giants lead the Redskins, 13-10.

Posted by on December 3, 2012 – 2:36 pmThe Washington Redskins (5-6) tonight play host to the New York Giants (7-4), with a lot on the line for the home team here at FedExField.
The Redskins are still within reach of the NFC East-leading Giants, as well as a wildcard playoff spot. A loss for Washington today, and those playoff hopes drop dramatically.

AccuScore Projects ‘Skins-Giants Game
Posted by on December 3, 2012 – 2:11 pmIt’s hard tellin’ who will come out victorious late tonight after the Washington Redskins and the New York Giants do battle on Monday Night Football.
The Giants (7-4), of course, are the current leaders of the NFC East Division and are the reigning Super Bowl champions. The Redskins (5-6), meanwhile, are winners of two straight, and appear to have some momentum on their side.
The computers at AccuScore also appear to be indecisive about tonight’s game, as they have the Giants as just 51-percent favorites.
But if Robert Griffin III and Alfred Morris find success running the ball against the Giants — much like they did in their Week 7 matchup — then the Redskins are considered overwhelming favorites.
Here’s the highlights of today’s AccuScore predictions for Redskins-Giants, according to ESPN:

Redskins-Giants: Experts Pick ‘Em
Posted by on December 3, 2012 – 1:46 pmIn Week 7 — the last time the Redskins and the Giants played one another — just less than nine percent of the NFL experts and analysts below picked the Redskins to pull off the upset.
And the Redskins almost won that game at MetLife Stadium, taking a late lead with about a minute left before the Giants won on a last-second touchdown throw.
But with the Redskins (5-6) now riding a two-game winning streak heading into tonight’s Monday Night Football rematch with the Giants (7-4), just a few more think Washington will dispose of the defending Super Bowl champions at FedExField.
Here’s this week’s version of Experts Pick ‘Em:
