Posted by Stephen Czarda on June 20, 2014 – 1:20 pm

Capture

Once again the Washington Redskins had a special visitor at Redskins Park to watch practice.

Two weeks ago, Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey squeezed time into his busy schedule to see his favorite team in action. Last week, ESPN Monday Night Football host and older brother of Redskins head coach Jay Gruden, Jon, was at Redskins Park seeing how his younger brother was doing and caught up with the Allen family.

And now this week, University of Virginia head football coach Mike London was in Ashburn to get tips from the pros and see two of his former players, offensive lineman Morgan Moses and cornerback Chase Minnifield.

Morgan Moses had many aspirations growing up. Two of his long-term goals were met recently.

The first of being a professional football player was achieved a few weeks back when he was selected by the Washington Redskins with the 66th-pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. The second also came slightly true during the month of May.

Graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in anthropology shortly after wrapping up rookie minicamp activities, the 6-7 rookie said that he pursued the degree initially thanks to his love with a certain movie hero.

“I always wanted to be the next Indiana Jones,” Morgan said with a chuckle this afternoon. “I took a couple classes at UVA (in anthropology) and I fell in love with one of the professors and it just all kept going from there. I’m now on the track to be an archaeologist.

“It’s a career after the career.”

With offensive tackle Morgan Moses joining the team as a third-round draft pick this year, the Redskins will never have to worry about him protecting the quarterback.

Be sure to check out this article from Yahoo! Sports’ Eric Adelson about the Redskins enlisting a hero’s help by bringing the “big man on board,” who has a history of saving signal callers on and off the field:

For you Twitter diehards there is a new must-follow.

moses beard

New Washington Redskins offensive lineman Morgan Moses (@MORGANMOSES_78) is known for his pass and run protection abilities and having ‘vines for arms’ on the field, but off the field his beard gets all sorts of attention. That attention comes in the form of observers in public wishing they could have such a luscious chinstrap and from social media lovers.

Redskins.com will track Moses and beard down soon to get a little more information on why the fuzzy creature was grown and having a handle, but for now check out some of what @NourishTheBeard has been up to recently:

OK, the draft picks are selected.

Now fans want to know: what number will they wear?

Well, the Redskins Blog is coming through in the clutch for you again — in a somewhat limited fashion, however.

Redskins Public Relations was kind enough to let us in on the uniform numbers for the eight 2014 Redskins draft picks, although these are just the numbers they’ve been assigned for this week’s rookie minicamp, and are definitely subject to change.

(You’ll remember, Ryan Kerrigan, for example, was originally assigned No. 53 before he went on to change a little later to No. 91.)

So, without further ado, here’s those 2014 Redskins draft class rookie minicamp uniform numbers:
