Griffin III Moves Up In ‘MVP Watch’

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has been in Rookie of the Year talks since his outstanding Week 1 performance against the New Orleans Saints, but only the past couple weeks has Griffin III’s name been thrown around for another major NFL award:

NFL Most Valuable Player.

Griffin III today moved up one spot to No. 7 overall on ESPN.com NFC West blogger Mike Sando’s weekly MVP Watch piece, and remains the only rookie on the list.

Griffin III, who first appeared on Sando’s MVP Watch a couple weeks ago, is already a three-time Pepsi Max NFL Rookie of the Week award winner, and he was named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Month for September.

Griffin III Appears On ‘MVP Watch’ List

He’s already among the select few being considered as the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year through four games of the 2012 season, but now there’s consideration for another postseason award floating Robert Griffin III’s way:

The league’s Most Valuable Player.

Griffin III this week made his first appearance on ESPN.com Mike Sando’s weekly “MVP Watch” piece, which lists Sando’s 10 most valuable players in the NFL.

Griffin III is one of two NFC East quarterbacks to make the list.
