Landry Hosts His Own Turkey Drive Today

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, LaRon Landry is making sure that local families will have food on their tables when the holiday comes.

This afternoon Landry hosted the 2nd Annual LaRon Landry’s Leadership for Life Thanksgiving Drive, at the King-Greenleaf Recreational Center in Washington D.C.

Landry’s organization partnered with the Sasha Bruce Youthwork organization for the second straight year to provide families in need with a Thanksgiving meal from Whole Foods.

Bags included a turkey, cider, bread, vegetables, gravy, and a pumpkin pie. In addition to a full Thanksgiving meal, participants were given t-shirts that said “Leadership for Life” or “Lead by example.”

Landry understands the importance of the holidays, and wants to make sure that families in need have the opportunity to enjoy the holiday. Read more »
