Ken Harvey Back On ‘Bertie & Guy’
Posted by on October 18, 2012 – 7:53 amLinebacker Ken Harvey appeared in four straight Pro Bowls for the Redskins from 1994 to 1997, and he certainly knows a thing or two about getting to the quarterback.
His 13.5 sacks in 1994 made him the first Redskins player to lead the NFC in that defensive statistic, and he finished with 89 career sacks. Harvey — ranked as one of the 80 Greatest Redskins of All-Time — was also tasked with covering some of the greatest tight ends of his era.
Harvey recently talked about the current Redskins’ defense and how challenging it really is to cover a talented tight end on ESPN SportsTalk 570′s “Tailgating With Bertie & Guy:”

Anniversary Uniforms: 1994 Version
Posted by on May 14, 2012 – 3:34 pmWhen the Redskins take the field this season for two games wearing their 80th Anniversary Uniforms, it actually won’t be the first time a version of that uniform has been worn in recent memory.

Gary Clark And Ken Harvey Shoot Baskets To Fight Brain Tumors
Posted by on May 20, 2010 – 1:25 pm
When Justin Friedlander, a thirteen year-old Redskins fan from Maryland, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, he decided to do something to raise money for brain tumor research. The “something” he chose was shooting baskets. Quite a lot of them, in fact: 63,000, one for every person diagnosed with a primary brain tumor every year in the United States.
Since 63,000 baskets is a lot even for the most determined person, Justin made a request. “I plan on asking friends, family, athletes, rock stars, politicians and even the president to shoot a basket with me.” he said, according to his website. “If you can shoot a basket, come shoot with me.”
Last Tuesday, Redskins greats Gary Clark and Ken Harvey took him up on the offer, as did University of Maryland basketball standout (and 2010 ACC Player of the Year) Greivis Vasquez.
