The wrong backpack sat rumpled on the cabin floor of the airplane. No front pocket was sewn into the ventral side. Chris Thompson panicked and tweeted.

Without a front pocket, there would be no ticket. Without a ticket, the Redskins running back had no idea how he would make it inside the Rose Bowl.

Adam Carriker, Aldrick Robinson Call Florida State Over Auburn For BCS Title

When No. 2 Auburn went up, 21-3, on  No. 1 Florida State in the first half of the Vizio BCS National Championship Monday night, defensive end Adam Carriker looked like a man who should stick to pro wrestling analysis.

With 00:13 left on the clock in Pasadena, Calif., Carriker looked like Nostradamus.

FSU Heisman Winner Jameis Winston completed a 2-yard touchdown pass to Kelvin Benjamin to cap off the two-minute drill and win the game. Roberto Aguayo’s extra point made the final score 34-31.

Before the game, Carriker predicted a score just one point shy of what transpired.

Rookie Tight End A Late Bloomer

It wasn’t too long ago that many people would’ve thought Redskins rookie tight end Beau Reliford was instead destined for a professional basketball career.

In fact, Reliford didn’t even begin playing football until junior year in high school.

But that decision has paid dividends for the 6-foot-6 tight end from Florida State University
