[First Ladies of Football veteran Maya and rookie Morgan share their experiences from Sunday’s annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game–a 45-41 victory over the Chicago Bears. The cheerleaders were busy throughout the game, forming a tunnel for player introductions, performing on-field and celebrating the six touchdowns!]

It’s Maya and Morgan here and we just wanted to start off by saying….HAIL VICTORY!! It’s always a wonderful week after a win!

Taking a win after Sunday’s game against the Bears surely brought excitement throughout the DMV area.  Along with the win we were also supporting breast cancer awareness month. The smell of hotdogs and hamburgers are starting to float around FedExField meaning only one thing—football is officially back.

There’s tons of stadium staff walking around the field making sure everything goes perfectly during tonight’s highly-anticipated game.

Included in that staff are the First Ladies of Football, who are getting their routines down pat so that they have your full attention during tonight’s game. The ladies, just like the players, will get a fair share of television exposure tonight so they practiced a little longer than usual to make sure every pom-pom is in synchronism with the next.

Here’s video of them warming up in the bright afternoon sun. Enjoy.

Throughout the month of March, prospective members of the First Ladies of Football were invited to FedExField on Tuesday and Thursday nights to learn the routines of the Redskins Cheerleaders.  Now that the practice is out of the way, the squad is down to final auditions for the 2012 season, which will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the State Theater in Falls Church, Va.
