While Washington Redskins linebacker Trent Murphy had offers from several different schools to play college ball, he ultimately chose to go to Stanford University to play under Jim Harbaugh.

For two seasons, Murphy strengthened his craft under Harbaugh’s tutelage before the coach went on the San Francisco 49ers.

Now, some five years later, Murphy and Harbaugh, who is now the head man for the University of Michigan’s football program, crossed paths out in Arizona.

Oh, and if you’re wondering why Harbaugh is wearing an Oakland Athletics jersey, it’s because he was coaching first base yesterday during the team’s spring training game vs. the Los Angeles Angels.
