After two weeks of voting, the results are in.

“RedskinsSnap” is the team’s new Snapchat handle as chosen by the fans.

Make sure to add the account to your contacts and this week look out for some cool snaps from the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.

For those unfamiliar with the mobile app, Snapchat allows users to take photos, record videos and add text or drawings and send them to a controlled list of recipients. Once opened, users are given a small time limit to open and view the message before it is deleted from the server.

Take a look at some snaps that fans have sent back already!

One of linebacker Gabe Miller’s hobbies was heading to a nearby gym or court and videotaping himself with some buddies making basketball trick shots.

He called it Trick Shot Tuesday.

Over the last two years he got pretty good at them, too, inventing new shots and tailoring specific tricks around the geography of the given court’s environment. He would then post the best ones — a quick compilation of swishes and ricochets — to Instagram.

#TRICKshotTUESDAY big rig edition. @dbrady25

Some of the best included shots from an SUV moon roof, an indoor water park and a highway overpass. The diversity of hoops was equally admirable.

These kinds of videos got extremely popular on Youtube, but Miller, thanks largely to the fine camerawork, never doctored any of his shots (so we believe).

And now, after a seven-month absence, Miller is back with another installment of Trick Shot Tuesday.

We’re glad it’s back, mostly so we can see that Miller still has the same touch.

While DeSean Jackson can certainly burn opponents with his speed, as seen time and time again last year, the veteran wide receiver can also muscle away defenders, too, if needed.

And his training schedule includes quite a lot of strength training as well as cardio, as seen in the photo above of Jackson getting ready to do some reps on the bench.

Also, while we’re on the subject of Jackson’s regimen, here’s a sneak peek at what he does to get his body ready for the rigors of a football season:

This weekend was prime time for photographers.

As couples celebrated Valentine’s Day, many also celebrated wedding engagements, which meant they wanted to capture the moment together.

Most of these shots are usually cliché, finding a romantic spot to snap the moment. But we were delighted to find some creativity and fandom from a local couple wearing Sean Taylor jerseys as they celebrated their big announcement.

Now we’ll just have to see if they continue to be creative…as in a burgundy and gold wedding?

There were several winners for the Trent Williams Caption Contest that the Redskins’ Facebook page posted several weeks ago. One of them, Randy Williard, was extremely excited when he heard the good news and couldn’t wait to share it.

Willard, a boxing coach all the way from Juneau, Alaska, posted the following after receiving an autographed Williams poster:

“Yes finally I am a winner of something!” he replied to the news that he had won. “Thank you I have been a Redskins fan since I can remember!”

“Oh you better bring two defenders at me baby,” his caption read.

Make sure to keep your eyes out for another contest in the coming weeks!

Consider Washington Redskins defensive end Jason Hatcher lucky.

While the Washington, D.C., area was experiencing bitter cold over the weekend and it’s first significant snowstorm of 2015 Monday evening, Hatcher was seaside in Miami.

The mini-vacation was a Valentine’s Day getaway according to the Grambling State product.

He wasn’t the only Redskin in the Sunshine State over the weekend, as Kirk Cousins was also there working on his arm.

Cousins, whose dad lives near the Orlando area, threw the ball around with students of Estero High School.

As we continued to look at the work of Ed Sabol and NFL Films last week, The Redskins Blog provided video from the Redskins’ 1972 season.

That season, of course, would end with the franchise’s first Super Bowl berth, pitting them against the Miami Dolphins.

But before they played the Dolphins, and before beating the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Championship Game, the Redskins hosted the Green Bay Packers at RFK Stadium in the divisional round of the playoffs.

The game was emblematic of those played throughout the regular-season, as the Redskins defense held the Packers to just three points and the offense methodically wore down the Green Bay defense.

Larry Brown ran for 101 yards on 25 carries, while Roy Jefferson hauled in five passes for 84 yards and a touchdown.

At final whistle, the Redskins were victorious by a final of 16-3.
