If you’ve been on the fence about starting up yoga, or some sort of heat-induced exercise class, let linebacker Ryan Kerrigan sway you to begin one.

Kerrigan joined Larry Michael, Voice of the Redskins, for an episode of “Redskins Nation” on Friday for a new segment called “Ask Ryan,” taking questions from fans, which ranged from his thoughts on next year’s team to who he might be dating.

Though he played coy on the latter, he did spill some details about his offseason workouts, which include participating in hot yoga sessions.

“I’m feeling really good right now,” Kerrigan said. “I started doing yoga recently, and I’ve been meaning to do that the past couple of offseasons but this offseason I’m really committing to it and I’m already seeing benefits from it.”

Those benefits mean more mobility and he admitted his “range of motion is a lot better.”

“I think that’s going to provide a lot of benefits in the long term,” he said. “The first couple times was incredibly tough [regarding the heat]. I had to leave the room one time it was too much because you’re in the room for 90 minutes, 114 degrees in there. It’s incredibly hot but like anything, the more you do it, the better you get at it.”

Kerrigan, who says he’ll be sticking with his short hair when asked about growing it out, knows to be successful, like anything, he just has to stay consistent with it.

“I’ve just got to keep doing it,” he said. “You get a lot of benefits out of it. It’s good for your internal organs, joints everything. I’d recommend it to anyone.”
