Over the coming weeks, The Redskins Blog will be providing you with a different look at the franchise’s past.
Unlike Throwback Thursday where we’ve looked at important moments on the gridiron against an upcoming opponent, this series will examine some of the lighter moments as we go through all of the photos stored at Redskins Park in Loudoun County, Va.
This week we couldn’t resist to post this picture, taken in 1982, of head coach Joe Gibbs with his staff in the team’s locker room shower.
As always, here are a list of questions to ponder while staring at this incredible shot…
— Why is the coaching staff drawing up plays in the shower? (Is the lighting better?)
— Are their offices all under construction?
— Was matching golf shoes a thing back then?
— How was this photographer allowed into this environment?
— Are the players about to crowd in soon to discuss the play?
We just have to applaud this wonderful question mark of a shot, mostly because it re-confirms the notion that we all do our best thinking in the shower.
