Washington Redskins running back Silas Redd has spoke openly about the many reasons he plays football. The love of the game and how it fills his craving for competition are near the top of the list, but it’s his son, Nico, that drives him to be a better player and a better person.
As he went back home for the New Year’s holiday, Redd and Nico spent a lot of time together, as evident through a quick stroll down the USC product’s timeline:
During the second-annual Back To School Shopping Spree at the Macy’s in the Short Pump Town Center in Richmond, Va., in September, Redd helped young students pick out winter clothes.
Redd said the shopping spree helped him hone his skills as a father.
“Interacting with them is helping prep me for when my son gets to this age,” he said. “And I can take him back to school shopping. It’s an amazing feeling, and anytime I can give back I definitely plan to.”
