Logan Paulsen and Kai Forbath will be paying attention to:

Valero Alamo Bowl— UCLA vs. Tennessee— Jan. 2, San Antonio, Texas.

Tight end Logan Paulsen and kicker Kai Forbath, teammates together at UCLA, are the only Redskins that have stakes in a college bowl game today.

Paulsen was on the Bruin’s roster for five years (2005-2009) and had intermittent success as he struggled with various injuries.

After missing his junior year to a foot injury, however, he came back strong to finish his collegiate career.

His senior season was his best statistically, collecting career highs in receptions (29)  and receiving yards (362) as he helped lead the team to a 30-21 victory over Temple in the Eaglebank Bowl.

Forbath redshirted his first year at UCLA, but made 25-of-30 field goals to start his college career, which included a school-freshman-best 54 yarder against Oregon.

In his junior season (2009), Forbath received the Lou Groza award, recognizing the best college placekicker in the country. He was projected as the second best placekicker in the 2011 NFL Draft but went undrafted.

The Redskins signed Forbath in 2012. He converted on his first-career NFL field goal a week later, a 50 yarder at home against the Vikings.

Karlie Harman wants to be recognized as a football player, not as a female who is breaking barriers in a local Loudoun County youth football league.

The 15-year-old who resides in Aldie, however, has been making waves for her performances on the gridiron in the Dulles South league.

A quarterback who also takes on kicking and punting duties, Harman was recently named the league’s Player of the Year.

In her feature, Harman explains that she understands some simply will never believe she can compete, but that she hopes her success against mostly male competition will change their minds.

“I want to be noticed for my hard work, not for my pony tail,” she said. “I thrive on competition. Nothing feels better then when a play comes together. That means all the long, hard practices have paid off. Yes, I am sure there are doubters out there that feel girls should NOT be allowed in the football arena, but honestly, if you can show them the walk instead of the talk, you would be surprised how their opinions change.”

In November, Harman experienced a life changing moment — she got to watch the Redskins run through a practice.

After meeting some of the players, Harman tossed a beautifully thrown pass to wide receiver Pierre Garcon for a touchdown. Garcon responded with a smile and his signature touchdown celebration.

Then today, she was back at Redskins Park where she got to talk with Larry Michael, Voice of the Redskins, for an interview that will be on Redskins Nation.

Redskins Nation can be seen each day at 5:30 p.m., 11 p.m., and the following day at 7:30 a.m.

Go to TogetherWeMakeFootball.com to vote for Harman and learn more about her story. The winner will receive a trip to Super Bowl XLIX.

The holiday season is now officially over and vacations are coming to an end.

That means travelers will be packing up belongings and gifts and trying to stuff it all back into suitcases before hitting the road.

It will be particularly difficult for this Redskins fan from London who displayed an impressive haul of team apparel over a hotel bed while he visited Washington, D.C. with some friends.

He got a chance to attend the Redskins’ victory over the Eagles in December and also hit some tourist attractions in the city before heading back across the pond.

Earlier this year, on vacation in Las Vegas, he made sure to wear his Robert Griffin III jersey, too.

Now, restocked with plenty of gear, his 2015 is off to the right start.

If you attended Michigan State like Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins did, or you’re a fan of the school’s football program, then you probably had the same reaction during Thursday’s Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic vs. Baylor.

Down 41-21 entering the fourth quarter, Michigan State reeled over 21 unanswered points on three different touchdowns to win the game 42-41.

The last touchdown, which is the one Cousins is reacting to, came with 17 seconds left in the game.

It’s pretty cool to see Cousins calling out the defense’s coverage as well.
