The Redskins have a speedy wide receiver and returner coming their way.

Colin Lockett joined the practice squad for the team’s final week after he was cut in mid-October from the Bengals.

The wide receiver and kick returner went undrafted from San Diego State, where he had made the early switch to offense after starting his career at cornerback.

In his senior year, he compiled 52 catches, 736 yards and five touchdowns, but his greatest threat was as a kick returner.

In his three seasons returning, he amassed a 24.1-yard average with three scores, becoming the Aztecs’ all-time leader in kickoff return yardage.

Fun fact: In his sophomore season — his best statistically — Lockett caught passes from quarterback Ryan Lindley, who recently started for the Arizona Cardinals this past Sunday.

Take a look at Lockett’s highlight videos from college, especially his returns.
