Over the last few weeks legendary Redskins wide receiver Gary Clark has become active on Youtube, posting and sending videos of gratitude and well wishes out to fans.

The videos, which last about 45 seconds each, are meant to thank those who have been devoted to the team and may have had some hardships or significant moments recently in their lives.

“We really do appreciate the fans who stick with the team,” Clark told The Redskins Blog.

Clark has contacted many of his clients this way but also tasked them with finding other football fans they know that might be in need of a greeting from a two-time Super Bowl champion.

“I’m finally figuring out how to do technology things,” joked Clark, who says he has about 40 more videos to shoot in the next two days.

After he finished recording he’ll email recipients a link to the video and then follow up with a 5-10 minute phone call, just so they know his gesture wasn’t some kind of prank.

He said he sees this becoming an ongoing practice, engaging directly with fans and making their experience a personal one, especially around the holidays.
