With news that tackle Morgan Moses will be placed on injured reserve for the rest of the season, the Washington Redskins signed free agent tackle Edawn Coughman to join the practice squad Thursday.

Coughman — from Shaw University — wasn’t selected in the 2011 NFL Draft  but was quickly signed by the Canadian Football League’s Toronto Argonauts that season and played nine games that year.

Coughman, who stands at 6-foot-4 and 313 pounds, spent short stints with the Seahawks, Cowboys, and most recently the Bills, playing in three preseason  games this season.

Here’s a video highlighting a charity event hosted by the Argonauts in which  Coughman made a brief appearance.
