–12/9 Redskins Make Roster Moves
The Washington Redskins on Tuesday announced several roster moves, including three new additions to the team.
Let’s get to know them a little:
Linebacker Ja’Gared Davis: The 6-foot, 238-pounder from Southern Methodist University was signed by the Houston Texans in 2013, but was released after preseason and signed with New England.
He appeared in only one game for the Patriots that year and three games the following season.
He most recently played on Kansas City’s practice squad. He racked up 83 tackles with 5.5 sacks during his final year at SMU.
Running back Michael Hill: Originally a college free agent out of Missouri Western State, Hill was signed to the Green Bay Packers practice squad in 2013 before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers grabbed him in November. He carried the ball nine times for 23 yards and caught two passes for 23 yards for the Bucs before being released.
He has also been a member of both the San Diego Chargers and Indianapolis Colts but has not appeared in a game in 2014.
Linebacker Justin Jackson: The Detroit Lions signed Jackson — a college free agent from Wake Forest — in 2014, and released him in the preseason.
After spending time with the Minnesota Vikings, the Cincinnati Bengals signed Jackson in November before waiving him two weeks later.
In 36 games for Wake Forest, he tallied 193 tackles and seven sacks in three years.
