Linebacker and special teams captain Adam Hayward suffered a season-ending right leg injury Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. But on Wednesday, his number remained on the practice field.

In an act of solidarity, fellow inside linebacker and good friend Will Compton shed his personal No. 51 for Hayward’s No.55 during the Washington Redskins’ first practice since coming back to Loudoun County, Va.

11 games into his first full season, Compton has totaled 20 tackles. He has valued Hayward’s presence on the field and developed a strong relationship—and similar facial hair styles– with him, as evidenced in a couple of Instagram photos together.

If you’ve ever wanted to extend your devotion for the Washington Redskins into breakfast, a new video will allow some culinary catharsis.

Pancake artist Nathan Shields, in production with FanSided, has impressively turned the detailed Redskins logo into pancake form. He also fried up the other 31 team logos.

Shields’ website, full of other intricate characters, is equally impressive. Take a look at the sped-up video.

Joe Jacoby’s Bio

Legendary Washington Redskins offensive lineman Joe Jacoby deserves a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

With the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s selection process for the Class of 2015 now down to 26 semifinalists, Jacoby included, fans can now vote for 15 men they believe deserve a place in Canton in a special fan vote on NFL.com.

From 1983-86, Jacoby earned four Pro Bowl berths and was named a first-team All-Pro on two occasions.

A member of the most famous offensive line in NFL history, Jacoby won three Super Bowls before retiring following the 1993 season.

With voting just beginning, make sure Jacoby gets the recognition he deserves.

Note: This is not an official vote, but rather a glimpse of what the NFL fan base thinks of 26 men who left their mark on the league.

Ryan Clark  listens to just about every genre of music to get him pumped up on gamedays.

The 13-year veteran told “The Washington Times” that he rotates between four different playlists during pregame warmups.

The first playlist is all gospel music.

“We usually play on Sundays, so we don’t get to go to church,” Clark said. “Our form of worship is being on the field. I just feel like [listening to gospel] is just the way you start off. I always start off the morning by praying.”

After gospel comes the smooth tunes of R&B followed by rappers like Juvenile.

The last segment of music are songs that remind him of his friend and former teammate, Sean Taylor.

“It puts me in that frame of my mind to remember that I’m still doing it for somebody other than myself.”

Before Trent Murphy was drafted by the Washington Redskins in this past May’s NFL Draft, he was a consensus All-American at Stanford.

During his senior season, Murphy recorded an NCAA FBS-high 15 sacks to go along with 62 tackles (37 solo), two forced fumbles, six pass breakups and one blocked kick.

On Saturday when in attendance to watch his Cardinal defeat Nick Sundberg’s California Bears, Murphy got to see himself on the school’s All-American wall:

“Pretty cool privilege to have my photo up in the Stanford stadium, and even more fun my family got to go see it!” Murphy captioned the photo.

On Sunday, his family, dressed in Redskins gear, saw him record five tackles:

“On another note… sad day to admit I’m the runt of the litter. But hey, runts are always the toughest right?” Murphy wrote.
