“Can you count to 49, because you’re going to Super Bowl 49!” Redskins running back Alfred Morris told a stunned Karen Goodwin.
Goodwin won tickets to the Super Bowl after typing in a the URL that appeared in the background of an episode of Lenovo’s “Tough Season.”
Lenovo has run the mockumentary — which highlights the highs and lows of Brad Blevins head coach and owner of Brad’s Awesome Team — over the last two seasons. Blevins owns Morris in his league.
As explained on HogsHaven.com, Goodwin has been a Redskins fan since she was 10-years old.
Enter in Morris, who at the end of the call promised to score a touchdown this season for the 51-year-old mom, who says she’s been a Redskins fan since she was 10. Growing up in upstate New York, her parents bought a new TV, bringing it home on a Sunday. Of the three channels, only one was color – and it was playing an NFL game. On it that day the Redskins pummeled her in-state team, the Giants. A fan was born. When chatting with Morris, Goodwin wanted to underline her fervor for the burgundy and gold: “I even went to the game you guys played on Monday night in Dallas, winning in overtime!”
If you haven’t had a chance to watch “Tough Season,” its a pretty funny look at the dedication of the fantasy owner.
Here’s a music video Brad’s Awesome Team did before the season started:
