Inaugural ‘Movies With Morris’ A Success

Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris in June hosted the inaugural “Movies With Morris” fundraiser. Hosted at the Alamo Drafthouse in Loudoun County, Va., the event was designed by Morris to combine his passion for watching movies and his work in the community.

That night, Morris, along with teammates Robert Griffin III, Ryan Kerrigan and Nick Sundberg, enjoyed one of his all-time favorite movies –“Fantastic Mr. Fox.”

On Tuesday, shortly after dancing beside hundreds of local elementary schoolers, Morris presented grants to four Loudoun County schools on behalf of the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association.

“Movies With Morris” raised $5,000 for each school, while the Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association contributed $2,500 as well.

The funds presented to each school will be used towards physical activities and healthy lifestyle education.
