From The Super Bowl XXII logo to several different players being prominently featured, the Redskins fan that owns this shirt can literally walk around with part of the franchise’s history.
The Redskins, of course, would pound the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXII, putting up 42 points including 35 in the second quarter.
This all came after climbing out of the largest deficit in Super Bowl history, as the Redskins were trailing 10-0 after the first frame.
Washington got on the board earlier in the second quarter, though, with an 80-yard connection between Doug Williams and Ricky Sanders. Then, Williams would find Gary Clark for a 27-yard strike to give the Redskins the lead.
Timmy Smith would find the end zone next, dashing past the Broncos for a 58-yard score.
Late in the quarter, Williams would find Sanders for a second time, and then Clint Didier as well.
In the fourth quarter, Smith would score his second touchdown of the day, capping off a magnificent performance by the Redskins in the process.
The Art Monk photo on the center of the shirt comes from the Redskins’ Super Bowl XXVI victory over the Buffalo Bills.
