There’s a lot of history stored in David Hampton’s closet.
Posted in the Facebook group HTTR Nation, Hampton’s collection features four of the greatest Redskins Alumni in franchise history and the jersey of current quarterback Robert Griffin III.
In terms of alumni, the top left-hand corner is the burgundy jersey of Art Monk.
Monk, of course, recorded 888 career receptions for 12,026 yards and 65 touchdowns with the Redskins.
In the middle at the top is Ricky Ervins.
Ervins — a USC product — spent four seasons with the Redskins in which he recorded more than 2,000 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. Ervins recorded his first-career touchdown against the Cleveland Browns in a 42-17 Redskins victory. In Super Bowl XXVI vs. Buffalo, Ervins had a team-high 72 rushing yards.
At the bottom are Doug Williams and Sean Taylor.
Williams is best remembered for his performance in Super Bowl XXII against the Denver Broncos. Connecting on 18 passes and four touchdowns, Williams would lead the Redskins to a convincing 42-10 victory.
Taylor, meanwhile, recorded 299 tackles, 12 interceptions and eight fumbles forced in 53 games with the Redskins.
Finally, Hampton represents the current roster while still paying homage to the franchise’s historic past with a Griffin III throwback jersey.
