Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall on Tuesday posted a special video on his Instagram account where he provided an update on his status:

Redskins Nation, what’s going on this is DeAngelo Hall. I just wanted to give you all an update, I’m about four days out of surgery. I feel good. Mentally I feel good, physically I feel good. Can’t wait to get back out there and root for my team. I love you guys. Thanks for all of your love.

Hall — a three-time Pro Bowler — suffered a ruptured Achilles during the Redskins’ Week 3 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Spending the last few weeks recovering from surgery to repair his Achilles, Hall re-tore it again last week according to head coach Jay Gruden.

Matthew McConaughey Talks Redskins Football On Monday Night Countdown

Famous Fans: Matthew McConaughey

Matthew McConaughey has both the present and future in mind when it comes to his beloved Washington Redskins.

The lifelong Redskins fan appeared on ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown” before the Indianapolis Colts-New York Giants game, where he discussed his support for the team and said he can’t wait to see what happens for the team both now and in the next five years.

“But RGIII — this is a long, long view here,” McConaughey started. ” This season, I’m not saying it’s done yet, but the Redskins as an organization and moving forward, they’ve got choices to make. I think they have the right guy at quarterback with RGIII.

“If they can keep people healthy, I think if they can leave the coaches alone, leave the staff there for a while and let’s see what goes on for five years.”

Despite growing up in Texas, the Redskins have always had McConaughey’s heart.

“In 1973, I’m watching Westerns with my dad, cowboys versus Indians and I’m rooting for the Indians – starts with that. Later that year, I realize my favorite food is hamburgers.

“Well, you got a linebacker, No. 55, Chris Hanburger, with an ‘n,’ who loved to wrap somebody up, maybe give them an extra yard, but throw them down and then he’d walk around like, ‘I didn’t go down with you.’ It started with that as a 4 year old where you got your favorite food and you’re rooting for the Indians in a western. Then it went into John Riggins, the Fun Bunch, the Hogs, everything Joe Gibbs.”
