Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon is a fantasy football hit.

The Mount Union product last week surely made all of his fantasy owners happy when he hauled in a 70-yard touchdown reception early in the third quarter. On the season, he has recorded 35 receptions for 396 yards and three touchdowns.

Garcon on Friday afternoon joined the folks at “NFL Fantasy Live” on NFL Network, where he discussed the offense and the upcoming matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

Vote For Community Project In Redskins Territory

The Week 8 matchup between the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys will go far beyond the gridiron.

For each Monday Night Football game played this season, the two competing markets (in this case Washington, D.C. and Dallas) will also have a matchup off the field based on community projects.

Through NFL Play 60 DonorsChoose.org, fans can vote on projects between the two teams’ markets. The project that receives more votes will be fully funded, while the second place project will receive 50 percent of requested funding.

In this week’s matchup, Barrett Elementary School in Arlington, Va. and Uplife Grand Preparatory in Grand Prairie, Texas, will square off.

Darryl Grant scored only one touchdown during his NFL career, but his score was about as important as it can possibly get.

During the NFC Championship Game between the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys on Jan. 22, 1983, at RFK Stadium, the Redskins were ahead by seven with the clock ticking down late in the fourth quarter.

The Cowboys, however, had the ball on their own 20-yard line, hoping to orchestrate a long drive that would end with points on the board.

That never happened.
