Washington Redskins offensive lineman Morgan Moses on Tuesday welcomed his son, Isiah Kingston Moses, into the world.
Moses — who was drafted by the Redskins in third round of this past May’s NFL Draft — said there’s “nothing like” the feeling of seeing your child for the first time.
“Just being able to bring somebody into the world and just have somebody look up to you, especially having a son and being able to have somebody who you can show them the ropes and somebody that’s always looking out for you, watching the things you do 24/7. …is a blessing,” he said.
Moses has been a busy man the past few days, balancing his preparations for the Dallas Cowboys and seeing his son at a hospital in Charlottesville, Va.
“It’s been crazy,” he said. “I’ve been driving back and forth every morning and every afternoon to Charlottesville just to be in the hospital with my fiancé and my little one.
“It’s definitely inspiration once you get on the road. I get to see my son today! So just being able to do that and spend time with them, it means a lot.”
With Isiah coming home for the first time tomorrow, Moses said he’s going to use the Bye Week following next weekend’s game against the Minnesota Vikings to spend some quality time with him.
“There’s definitely going to be daddy-son time,” he said. “Spending time, bonding, catching a couple games on TV together, and just sit there on the couch and hold him like a football.”
