Logan Paulsen Parts Way With Signature Beard — Again

It’s not exactly smooth as a baby’s bottom, but Logan Paulsen’s face is bare once again.

The Redskins tight end is known by many for his thick beard and long brown hair, both of which are often seen protruding from his helmet and chin strap.

But Paulsen this week decided to trim his entire beard off.

The Redskins Blog has learned the grooming decision was probably made much to the delight of Paulsen’s wife, Kelly.

The decision to cut off the beard was a far cry from a scenario Paulsen faced a couple years ago, when he decided to grow out his hair and beard until UCLA college teammate Nick Ekbatani — who suffered a leg amputation in a motorcycle crash — could walk again.

Stephen Bowen, Leonard Hankerson Excited After Return To Practice

Washington Redskins defensive end Stephen Bowen posted the following on his Instagram this afternoon after participating in his first practice of the 2014 season:

Leonard Hankerson, meanwhile, said he was “like a kid at a candy store” in his return the the field.

“I feel like I’m at 100 percent,” Hankerson told the media on Wednesday. “I just can’t wait to get out there and run around.”

Both spent the first six weeks of the season on the team’s Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list.

Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson puts in the work to be among the elite players in the NFL.

While his well-documented speed is something that allows him to sprint past opposing defenses for lengthy plays, he does full body workouts featuring both weight and circuit training along with cardio exercises.

These exercises help keep his speed at a top-level, while also allowing him to shoulder off cornerbacks at the line and muscle his way out of other situations.
