Washington Redskins tight end Niles Paul on Tuesday was at Laurel Ridge Elementary School in Fairfax, Va., to discuss the importance of paying it forward.

Helping kick off the school’s anti-bullying campaign, the students actually had no idea Paul was going to be speaking to them, let alone be there.

So when the fourth-year Nebraska product appear in the corner of the gymnasium to the tune of  ‘Hail to the Redskins,’ the students let out a collective scream of excitement.

Before speaking, Paul made sure to go through the assembly and high-five each student.

He then told the students about how his “Uncle Jimmy” helped him out when he was a teenager, and how he’s helping out a close friend now.

“He let me stay with him when I was 15-years-old, I was actually homeless,” he explained. “Him doing that for me and how I’ve paid that forward, is that right now, I have a friend that is from Nebraska and he had nowhere to stay. So I let him stay at my house. I moved him out here, and he got a job, so that was my way of paying it forward.”

After, he took several group photos as seen below from Instagram:
