Chris Baker Pays Respects To Fallen Firefighter

Washington Redskins defensive lineman Chris Baker paid his respects to fallen Hartford, Conn., firefighter Kevin Bell on Monday.

Bell was called on to fight a house fire last week, but did not make it out alive.

Thousands gathered in Hartford Monday afternoon for Bell’s funeral. According to NBCConnecticut.com, Bell was a coach in several different sports leagues in Connecticut.

Baker is from Connecticut and often mentions family members and friends still living in the state for helping him make it to the NFL.

The third-year player created the Chris Baker Foundation to assist youth in the Greater Hartford area and Washington, D.C., by enhancing literacy rates and remind them the of the importance of staying in school.

Will Compton Makes First Start On Dad’s Birthday

Washington Redskins linebacker Will Compton made his first career start on his dad’s birthday.

As he mentions on his Instagram post, he’s gone from playing catch with his dad to starting for the Redskins:

Talk about a blessing.. Starting my first game is something I’ve dreamed about since I was young kid playing catch w my dad in the backyard. And it just so happened that it was on his bday. Love you, pop

Compton recorded two tackles and a quarterback hit against the Arizona Cardinals.

Ryan Clark Greets Young Fan On Return Home

Despite returning to Redskins Park during the early hours Monday, the Extreme Skins crew, as they always do, greeted the team home.

Before he drove away to return to his family, safety Ryan Clark had a gift for one of the younger fans awaiting the team’s return — pink Breast Cancer Awareness armbands.

After every Redskins game, fans can order a large cheese pizza for only $9.99, plus for each touchdown the Redskins score, fans get one free topping.

That means that you can get two free toppings today, as the Redskins scored two touchdowns in their Week 6 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Wide receiver DeSean Jackson got the scoring started, and your first free topping, with a 64-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

Wide receiver Pierre Garcon got you a second free topping, after he dashed his way into the end zone for a 5-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.
