Washington Redskins linebacker Brian Orkapo is ready to notch a victory Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks.

When asked by the media on Tuesday about the Seahawks returning to FedExField for the first time since a Wild Card Round playoff game following the 2012 season, Orakpo said it’s “a perfect time for redemption.”

“It’s a second chance, basically,” he said. “It’s a second chance for us to go out there and fix the problems we had and go out there and show everybody that we’re a good defense, a great defense, a great team.

After a breathtaking 81-yard touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles — his former team – Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson will have the jersey and gloves that he wore during the game showcased in the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Pro Football Today Room.

Why?

Jackson became only the third player in NFL history – Pro Football Hall of Famer Charlie Joyner and Art Powell being the others – with an 80-yard touchdown catch both for and against a team.

Below are photos of the jersey and gloves at Redskins Park before being sent to the Pro Football Hall of Fame:

Jason Hatcher Talks Seahawks’ Offensive Weapons

Washington Redskins defensive end Jason Hatcher on Tuesday talked about facing the Seattle Seahawks’ duo of running back Marshawn Lynch and quarterback Russell Wilson.

Known for his ability to shed tackles, Hatcher said the defense must get Lynch down quickly when the ball is in his possession.

“He’s a great runner, hard-nosed runner,” Hatcher said. “We just have to do a good job of not letting him get to the second-level to our DBs, because he’s a hard runner, he’s real physical and we don’t want him getting on those guys. So we just have to stop him before he gets going.”

Wilson, meanwhile, is someone the defense must keep an eye on as he has the capability to extend plays with both his arm and legs.

“A good quarterback,” he said. “He buys a lot of time with his feet. He can run, he can throw – he can do it all. We’ve got a great team to face, they’re the World Champs, so we just have to out there and play or style of football and we’ll be OK.”
