Salute To Service Moment Of The Week

During the first quarter of the Washington Redskins’ Week 4 home game at FedExField, Staff Sergeant Zubin Thomas Karimattam and Airman First Class Jaquille M. Dawson were honored on the field.

 Staff Sergeant Karimattam is a member of the National Geospatial­ Intelligence Agency (NGA) Air Force Element, and works as a Geospatial-Intelligence Analyst for the South East Asia Division. Among his many duties,  he has exploited over 10,000 images, monitored 20 strategic targets, created 93 graphics and authored 51 intelligence reports for NGA.

Away from his military duties Ssgt. Karimattam is an avid community supporter.  He commits eight hours per week coaching soccer and wrestling to 56 school-aged children. SSgt Karimattam also led a 10-person planning committee for more than 300 joint service member morale boosting event stationed at NGA and assisted in raising $1500 for the event.

Lastly, SSgt Karimattam is the Unit Fitness Program Manager for 187 Air Force members and maintains an outstanding 99 percent pass rate.

Airman First Class Dawson is a member of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Air Force Element, and works as an Imagery Analyst.  A1C Dawson has cauthored 24 intelligence reports for NGA.

Additionally, A1C Dawson is committed to on- and off-base community involvement.

He is a member of the NGA Color Guard, where he has performed in five military functions and is the lead flag folding trainer for NGA.  He has also devoted eight hours of community service to various activities, such as, Barn Restoration for the Accokeek Foundation Service and the Virginia Honor Flight.
