After the Washington Redskins soundly defeated the New York Giants by a final of 72-41 on Nov. 27, 1966, head coach Otto Graham joked with the media that the game was “a great defensive battle.”
Starting with a touchdown connection between Pro Football Hall of Famer Sonny Jurgensen and A.D. Whitfield, who ended up scoring three touchdowns on the day, the Redskins would score 10 touchdowns against the Giants.
