The extra point is GOOD!

Buccaneers’ Fifth Drive

Running back Jeff Demps starts the drive with a gain of four yards. Demps carries it again on second down, but only for a gain of two yards. Demps tries to stretch it out wide to get the first down, but Trenton Robinson with a superb open-field tackle, taking away the first down in the process!

Redskins’ Fifth Drive

McCoy dumps it off to Silas Redd, and the rookie running back proceeds to pick up eight yards. He held strong on a ball that the Buccaneers were trying to strip. McCoy keeps the ball on third down and scampers ahead for nine yards and a FIRST DOWN! Pump fake helped open up all that running room he saw ahead of him. On second down McCoy is in the shotgun where wide receiver Aldrick Robinson turns up field, breaks a tackle and runs for a FIRST DOWN! On first down, Thompson runs ahead for a gain of three. On second down, Thompson gets in on the action once again, but this time with a reception. On third down, the Redskins are intercepted in the end zone.

Buccaneers’ Sixth Drive

Starting on their own 20-yard line, Demps carries it for three yards to start the drive. On second down, cornerback E.J. Biggers — a former Buccaneer — takes down the ball carrier for a negative two-yard play. On third down, Frank Kearse gets a SACK!

Nick Williams back deep to field the punt, sheds a few would-be tackles on his return.

Starting the drive on the 22-yard line, Thompson dashes down the sideline for a 25-yard gain. FIRST DOWN! On the next first down, McCoy targets Aldrick Robinson and hits him for a nine-yard gain. Thompson gains two yards for a FIRST DOWN! Why not give it to the hot hand again. Thompson just gained eight after some seriously sick juke moves. Silas Redd spills Thompson after all of that action for a FIRST DOWN! On first down, Redd carries the ball again, this time for a nine-yard gain. Thompson carries it on second down for another FIRST DOWN! Two-minute warning. After the break, Thompson carries the ball for a one-yard gain. On 3rd-and-9, Redd runs forward for nine yards and then some. FIRST DOWN! 1st-and-goal after a Redskin timeout, and McCoy finds Williams in traffic for a gain of about four yards. 2nd-and-goal, the Redskins are intercepted in the end zone.

End of the first half.
