Coach’s Turn: Jay Gruden At The Mic

Despite having an offensive pedigree, Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden knows success comes in the form of a three-headed attack — offense, defense and special teams.

Gruden started his Saturday afternoon press conference answering questions about the special teams and coordinator Ben Kotwica, followed by defensive coordinator Jim Haslett’s role, padded vs. no pads practices, David Amerson’s growth and more.

The nine-year veteran has been forcing opponents to rethink their desires to run up the middle. His play draws rave reviews from the coaches and teammates trust him enough that he’s been voted a team captain multiple times.

Gruden Brothers Talk Redskins On ESPN Telecasts

One brother is head coach for one of the most exciting teams in the NFL. The other brother calls nationally televised games for ESPN Monday Night Football.

World are destined to collide, and they will three times starting with a game at FedExField August 18 vs. Cleveland.
