Over the last few weeks, Redskins.com asked you about your thoughts on whether or not wide receive Pierre Garcon will become the first player in franchise history to record back-to-back 100-reception seasons.

The results are in!

Pierre Garcon Yards

More on Garcon entering the 2014 season:

Despite battling injuries and adjusting to a new offense equipped with different terminology, Garcon led the Redskins in receiving in 2012 with 633 yards on only 44 receptions.

Signed by Washington in the offseason to give then-rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III a reliable player who has shown effective in the clutch, Garcon showcased his ability within 10 minutes of his first game with the Redskins.

On the first drive, Griffin III connected with Garcon twice before driving the Redskins to a field goal. The second drive had a slightly more memorable ending, as the twosome connected for an 88-yard score.

The rest of Garcon’s season, though, would be spent concentrating on both on-field success and getting healthy. Entering the 2013, however, Garcon was fully healthy and ready to interject his presence into the offense more.

“I know the playbook now so it’s not learning a new system, it’s advancing in the system,” Garcon told the media during training camp. “It’s already knowing what they are going to say, just sharpening up the tools and sharpening up what we already know. So it is not second guessing myself, it’s advancing things to my natural abilities now, knowing that I am doing the right things, knowing where I am supposed to be at, and just moving forward, letting my natural abilities and natural skills move forward with what I already know.”

His natural abilities led to a record-breaking season.

In 16 games, Garcon recorded 113 receptions–a team-record for a single-season–and had at least five receptions in every game.

I don’t see how it’s possible that Garçon repeats his 2013 reception and yard totals or bests them. With the additions of Jackson, Roberts and if Reed stats healthy, I predict 25 to 30 less receptions for Garçon in 2014. I so predict more Tds though.

I’m thinking these #s for Garçon:

    85 receptions, 1275 YDs and 8 tds
