James Thrash Honored For Continued Public Service

Endearing himself to Redskins Nation through his versatility and commitment to Redskins success, James Thrash was a fan favorite during his nine seasons in Washington.

In total, he accumulated over 1,500 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while also being a stalwart on the special teams unit.

While he put in the time to make sure he performed on Sundays, his work didn’t stop once the final whistle blew on his career.

On Wednesday, the Redskins alum was recognized for his public service by the Jefferson Awards Foundation.

Week 1 Opponent’s Starting Quarterback Announced

The Washington Redskins knew when and where they were going to play the first game of the 2014 NFL season in April.

The only mystery that remained was who the Houston Texans, the Redskins’ Week 1 opponent, were going to roll out as their starting quarterback.

Linked to several signal calling prospects before the NFL Draft, the Texans, who held the No. 1 pick, went defensive by selecting former South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney. So without mainstay Matt Schaub, questions arose as to who the Texans would tap out of their four employed quarterbacks to be the Week 1 starter.

After a minicamp session yesterday, though, Texans head coach Bill O’Brien ended further quarterback competition talk by announcing the team’s starting quarterback.

Skins Spotlight: Headshots And Promos

There’s always something going on at Redskins Park.

Despite being a Monday during the offseason, the Washington Redskins’ team headquarters was very active today with player headshots and promos taking place.

For guys like wide offensive lineman Morgan Moses and linebacker Trent Murphy, this was the first time they got to wear the prestigious Redskins uniform.

Keenan Robinson Talks Pass Coverage, What He Learned In 2013

Washington Redskins linebacker Keenan Robinson returned to the field recently after missing all of the 2013 season and the last five games of the 2012 season with injury.

While the former University of Texas star wished he had been on the field battling opposing offenses with his teammates, he used the time away from the field to strengthen his appreciation for the game and improve his understanding of offensive tendencies.

There’s little to worry about on this Friday the 13th, especially when it’s your birthday.

That’s right, Redskins fans. Cornerback E.J. Biggers is celebrating his 27th birthday on this day of fear long ingrained in American history.

But you shouldn’t fear on this occasion. As Biggers continues to grow in the Redskins defense, the only panicky feeling should be coming from opposing wide receivers.
