Sean Taylor was one of the fastest rising stars in the NFL during his four-year career with the Washington Redskins. The safety garnished a reputation as being one the hardest hitting safeties in league history before his life was tragically cut short nearly seven years ago.

While he may no longer be with us, his exploits continue to be reminisced by Redskins Nation and his family. Wide receiver Santana Moss pays homage to his college and professional teammate each game and you can still see numerous No. 21 jerseys in the stands at FedExField on Sundays.

In the fifth round of the NFL Draft this past May, Taylor’s cousin, Keith Reaser, was selected by the San Francisco 49ers.

Taylor’s style of play still has a profound impact on Reaser both on and off the field. Read more »

There’s having a good time during the summer with friends and then there’s allowing Redskins legend John Riggins to show you a great time.

Riggins, a first-team All-Pro in 1983 after a whopping 24 touchdowns and the man who ran straight up the Miami Dolphins’ gut to give the Redskins their first Super Bowl victory, hosts a 30-minute show on CSN Washington called “Riggo on the Range.”

As described on Riggoontherange.com, the show “follows John and his guests around the country in pursuit of extraordinary hunting and outdoor adventures. In an added twist, John retires to the kitchen to show the audience how to prepare a gourmet meal using his prey. The combination of John’s colorful personality, his life-long love of the outdoors and his passion for the culinary arts makes Riggo on the Range different from anything else on TV.”

His passion for the great outdoors was on full display in a recent episode with former Redskins head coach Joe Gibbs.

In 2008, wide receiver Pierre Garcon was the youngest member of an Indianapolis Colts receiving corps that featured Pro Bowlers at every slot. And while he only hauled in only four catches that season, his understudy role with some many talented weapons to learn from led him to increased numbers year after year.

By 2013, his second with the Washington Redskins, Garcon broke the franchise’s single-season receptions record with 113 catches and recorded 1,000 yards for the first time in his career.

Now, as the team embarks on its newest journey under first-year head coach Jay Gruden and with several new weapons in-hand, Garcon told ESPN980 that everyone is giving “110 percent” to get the franchise back to the playoffs.
