A Look Back At Redskins-Patriots

A little summer treat for all you Washington Redskins fans out there planning on making the trip to Richmond. And it involves a combined six Lombardi Trophies.

On Monday, the Redskins announced that they’ll host a few joint practices with the New England Patriots before tangling at FedExField on Thursday, August 7th at 7:30pm for the first preseason game of 2014.

It will be interesting to see how the practice sessions unfold, but following the possible duels between Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III and Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will be a fun storyline to follow.

Anyway, before they do square off in the Commonwealth’s Capital, here’s a little history of Redskins-Patriots:

Redskins And The Zubaz Fad

Replace the smartphone with a portable cassette player and you pretty much have the early 1990’s all over again.

For anyone that has perused through the sports pages of the Internet today, you’ve seen that the Detroit Tigers donned some Zubaz outfits after a game last night.

As is the case with many fashion fads, it’s cool to rehash outfit ideas that died out years ago. While the Tigers may be getting all the press, the Washington Redskins have their own connection to the colorful outerwear.

Cody Hoffman Ready To Prove Talent

He got it last week when he signed with the burgundy and gold as a college free agent and then impressed the coaching staff over the weekend at rookie minicamp.

Morgan Moses Shows Off Redskins At Graduation

Washington Redskins offensive lineman Morgan Moses had quite the weekend.

First, he got an appetizer of NFL life by working with seasoned offensive lineman coach Chris Foerster and getting a chance to chat with the D.C. Media.

Then, following the afternoon session, the lovable, bearded lineman chatted with members of the Kid’s Club.

Shortly after shaking the last hand of the youngest of Redskins Nation, Moses rushed down to the University of Virginia where he graduated with a degree in anthropology and showed everyone who his new employer is.
