But even his experience in the SEC, considered the best conference in college football, did not compare to the rigors of the NFL.
Redskins.com’s Ross Hollebon caught up with Rambo as he recalled the thoughts that ran through his mind during last season’s rookie mini-camp and what he took away from that weekend session:
Rambo would go on to start eight games for the Redskins in his rookie season. Against the Philadelphia Eagles in the season opener, he recorded a season-high 10 tackles. The former Georgia Bulldog also played an integral part on the special teams unit, where he learned under former Redskin and special teams captain, Reed Doughty.
Speaking of rookie minicamp, be sure to keep tabs of Redskins.com this weekend as we’ll be providing you a variety of content as drafted and undrafted guys are guided by head coach Jay Gruden and staff.
