The 2014 Redskins Draft Hats Are In!

Three things are already confirmed for the Washington Redskins and the draft next weekend.

First, whoever general manager Bruce Allen and brass ultimately choose will be coming to a team loaded with young talent and must-see newcomers.

The second assurance is that the 2014 draft class will look pretty awesome in this year’s official draft hat. The third is that you can look just as cool, too!

The hat above is of the snapback variety, but, if you’re not feeling the return of the 90’s look, don’t worry.There’s a more classic version seen below that’s just as stylish:

This Day In Redskins History: Cliff Battle Was Born

104 years ago today a future Washington Redskins star and NFL Hall of Famer was born in Akron, OH.

Running back Cliff Battle out of West Virginia Wesleyan was not only on the roster for the franchise’s first game vs. the Brooklyn Dodgers, but he soon became the centerpiece of an offense that would add Slingin’ Sammy Baugh in 1937.

While Battle didn’t have the flair for the dramatic like Clinton Portis or the gritty attitude of John Riggins, his contributions during the franchise’s inaugural season in the Nation’s Capital should never go unnoticed.

Capping off an 800-yard plus season, Battle and Co. squeezed out a 28-21 victory over the Chicago Bears to capture the Redskins’ first of five championships.

The difference in that game? A Battle touchdown.
