No other franchise could pull this off.
Mark Rypien, Doug Williams and Joe Theismann played in the second Huddle Up For Healthy Hearts Bowl on Sunday, which made the field at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Md., the stage for three Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks who played for the same club under the same coach.
Per the Annapolis Capital Gazette, the quarterbacks competed in the flag football game to promote the Heart Health Foundation’s Dare to C.A.R.E free vascular screening program in Annapolis. Proceeds from the event went to funding for the program.
Rypien and Williams tossed bombs, but Theismann was designated the full-time center.
A day after helping the Redskins build a playground at the Cedar Heights community in Southeast Washington, D.C., Rypien led his team to a 39-38 win.
Thanks to CSN Washington, you can watch the retired quarterbacks throw.
Rypien is No. 1.
