DeSean Jackson has a unique skill set outside of the one that’s led him to average 17.2 yards per catch for his career. The playmaker has some intrinsic qualities that attracts celebrity attention like a magnet.
Wale was part of persuasion party that convinced him to sign with Washington. Dale Earnhard Jr. is on board. And Oscar-Winner Jamie Foxx felt compelled to congratulate the 27-year old receiver on Twitter via a quarterback persona he embodied in 1999.
Even though he’s a Cowboys fan.
As much as I would like to send you straight to a clip of Foxx playing the quarterback of the Miami Sharks, dancing poolside and sipping a strawbanna smoothie, I consider this a somewhat clean blog and parts of Willie Beamen’s music video are not fit for young, impressionable eyeballs.
So instead use this video of a Beamen interview to reacquaint yourself with a man who fancied himself untouchable, or is at least better than Dennis Quaid.
“Fear in the belly? Terror? Nah I don’t feel none of that. It’s like they ain’t even going to touch me. They’re not going to feel me. They’re not even going to smell me. I don’t care if it’s the T-Rex or the Terminator out there chasing me. I got this inivisible juice, and once I turn it on. I’m gone.”
Jackson appeared on “Redskins Nation” with Larry Michael Wednesday and sounded kind of like Beamen.
“As long as you got heart, it doesn’t matter how big you are,” Jackson said. “And I tell people. You can’t hit what you can’t catch, so just stay fast.”
