Orakpo Helps Kids Make Good Choices

Posted by Gabe Hiatt on March 12, 2014 – 12:19 pm

Brian Orakpo told the kids he needed to make a change.

In a video released by the Mid Atlantic Dairy Association, Orakpo told a group of schoolchildren why he decided to improve his diet by eliminating junk and emphasizing nutrient-rich foods like milk and yogurt. The linebacker is part of a Fuel Up to Play 60 initiative emphasizing the importance of a balanced breakfast.

“I used to be like you guys, eating all kinds of candies and chips and stuff, anything that was easy you know,” Orakpo said.

“I used to be like that, but I had to change the direction of my life if I wanted to be where I wanted to be, and that was playing professional football.”

Rak requires a lot of fuel to throw around weight like this.

Very proud of Brian doing his part to make good choices regarding nutrition. We all have the freedom to make our own choices in life. Just need to remember the consequences that come with good and bad choices in life. Our goal with our company Make Good Choices is to help educate people about making good choices with nutrition, fitness, and character. Thanks Brian for making a positive difference!
