What Doug Williams Learned From Gibbs

Doug Williams is feeling lucky like it’s 1986.

The personnel executive told Larry Michael he never thought he would be back with the team he led to victory in Super Bowl XXII. So when Williams and Bruce Allen agreed on a position in February, he said he felt just like he did when he got a phone call from Joe Gibbs offering him a job as the back-up quarterback in D.C.

“Things just worked out,” Williams said on “Redskins Nation. “And I’ll tell you what, it’s one of the best things that happened to me. It’s kind of like 1986 over for me, to be able to come back under different circumstances.” Read more »

Catching Up With Antwaan Randle El

Antwaan Randle El

The E-L in Antwaan Randle El’s foundation stands for more than his name.

“Everlasting love, baby!” the former Redskins and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver explained before appearing on “Redskins Nation” with Larry Michael.

Since retiring from the NFL in 2012, Randle El kept his home in the Commonwealth and showed Loudoun County the love.

In addition to his work with The El Foundation – which works for underserved youth in the greater Washington, D.C. area, Pittsburgh and Chicago – Randle El took a job as athletic director, coach and mentor at Virginia Academy when the private school created a high school curriculum last year.
