Robert Griffin III has given literal bear hugs, scaled a 53-foot free-standing rock structure, delivered an inspirational speech and appeared on national television to talk about the Redskins all in the few days at Baylor.
When I go back to school my most productive move is procuring fried chicken sandwiches from my favorite biscuit kitchen.
The DC Sports Bog captured the quarterback’s comments on Washington’s coaching change while RGIII appeared on a Fox Sports 1 broadcast of a women’s basketball game between the Bears and the Oklahoma Sooners.
“We’re all excited, everybody in the [Redskins] organization,” Griffin III said. “Talking to my teammates, it’s not that we’re starting over; we’re just getting a fresh start. So we’ve got a new leader at the helm and we’re going to be a united front.”
With Griffin III in the audience, the Bears won, 96-89 . Odyssey Sims scored 38 points and got a little love from the Heisman Trophy winner.
The quarterback received the rock star treatment on Baylor’s campus. He was gracious enough to pose for pictures with a number of students throughout his visit. Then he took on THE ROCK.
Ever the gym rat, Griffin III headed to the basketball courts at the Student Life Center to watch some fraternity hoops.
Griffin III said he’ll be training with Kaz Kazadi, the Assistant A.D. for Athletic Performance, while he’s visiting Waco, Texas.
Far down the road when his football career is over, I envision a spot on the Baylor swimming and diving team for Robert.
