Georges St-Pierre On A Champion’s Mind

You never know who you’ll meet at the Super Bowl.

While making the media rounds at Super Bowl XLVIII, “Redskins Nation” host and Voice of the Redskins Larry Michael ran into a 5-foot-10, 170-pound Canadian who happens to be one of the most dangerous men on the planet.

After vacating the UFC Welterweight title he defended against Johny Hendricks at UFC 167, Georges St-Pierre was enjoying his free time in New York.

Michael asked when fighting fans can expect to see him back in the Octagon.

“I don’t know yet,” he said. “I’m sure you’ll hear about me soon. We’ll see.”

St-Pierre explained how the mental toll of training affected his decision to enter semi-retirement and how “to be a champion in a sport, I believe you have to be a little bit crazy.”

Sounds like St-Pierre is choosing his words wisely enough to avoid pulling a Brett Favre.
